How did it all start?
In 2002, a friend of mine had an idea to get his top-notch Chinese goods into supermarkets around Poland. He didn't know how he'd do it, though. That's when I stepped in and said, "Leave it with me! Let me take care of selling them for you!" Little did we know at the time that this was just the start of something big...
What Was the Difficulty?
Breaking into the Polish retail market was no easy feat. As a new supplier, I faced major obstacles - buyers had longstanding relationships with their usual suppliers, and anything else posed an intimidating challenge that could easily be discouraged by rudeness. But my sales skills and tenacity paid off; after some vigorous persistence, 14 retail chain stores let me join them in 2002! This experience inspired me to keep going: since then, I’ve worked collaboratively with Chinese factories to import quality goods for customers all over Poland.

Are you aspiring to be your own boss, but don't know where to start? Well, this "brave entrepreneur" did it! I took a leap and flew across the world with no contacts or strings attached. But my ambition didn’t go unnoticed - I was soon connected with a fantastic businesswoman who gave me the opportunity of a lifetime. She said, “tell me what you want from China; I will arrange it for you." And just like that, in one defining moment on another continent – voila - success was born!
Having her as a business partner, I returned to Poland to look for direct customers, and back then, I was already my boss, I wasn’t working for anyone else.

Our Ambitious Venture
With our business partner in Cracow, we embarked on an ambitious venture - importing quality products from the Far East! At a time when this was still possible and not yet commonplace ;)
Our success came quickly. We sold up to 30 containers at once, reaching 100 within one year of establishment – supplying 400 supermarkets across Poland, Slovakia, and Czech Republic. To top it off: just two years later that number had grown exponentially to 3,000 stores!

Doubts and New Directions
When the success of our business started to skyrocket and grew to a level that presented concerns we could not ignore. I was worried that along with it would come a decrease in quality. My mission and morals are far too strong for me to accept profits at any cost - especially one threatening people's health. So instead of continuing down this path, I decided to take my venture into uncharted waters.
Tired of mass-produced products, I shifted my focus to premium and luxury goods. Instead of importing from China, I decided to export unique items to Asia, one of the world's most significant markets. This was an opportunity ready to be seized.

The Search and Discovery
In my quest to find a brand brave enough to introduce its products to the Asian market, I traveled across three continents, attending trade shows in Paris, Frankfurt, and Chicago. Each destination offered new possibilities and exciting networking opportunities.
And then, I found it...
Borowski's products inspired me to take a bold step and open stores throughout Asia. Their success motivated me to pursue this ambitious dream, and I was ready to make it a reality.
