We move now to Ecatepunk (Ecatepec) with a band formed in 2010.


Tu Dueño by Odisseo. I remember discovering the band through a friend and although i found their sound somehow unique & weird, I fell in love with the bands sound, a mix of Brit rock and Synth pop with lyrics that remind us of romantic ballads of the 70´s and 80's your parents probably used to listen to.. Fast forward a couple months and they were going to be playing in a festival I was attending, so i went ahead and put them in the schedule and ... thats when I fell out of love with the band, they did not sound anything like their studio recordings, and that's fine, somethings the mojo is just not there, you know? However you could tell band was obviously not enjoying their time on the stage. Some time later the band decided to go in hiatus after having issues with their lead vocalist. Luckily for us the band decided to come back with a new lead singer and well, although the vocals are definitely different, their new materials is still sick, cant wait to see this new line up live!

Ahora nos vamos para Ecatepunk con una banda que se formó en 2010.

Tu Dueño de Odisseo. Esta banda la descubrí por un amigo, e inicialmente su sonido me saco de pedo, al escucharlos con más detalle, me mamó la forma en la que mezclan estilos como Brit Rock y synth pop con letras que te recuerdan a las baladas románticas de los 70's y 80's que escuchaban tus jefes. Tiempo después tuve la oportunidad de verlos por primera vez en vivo en un festival, así que los puse en mi itinerario y a verlos en vivo.... Ahí fue cuando valió, la banda no sonaba para nada como su sonido de estudio, y está bien en ocasiones las bandas tienen malos días, que se yo, pero se notaba que la banda no estaba disfrutando esta en el escenario. Algunos meses después la banda decidió tomar un descansado indefinido por problemas con su vocalista. Afortunadamente la banda decidió regresar con un nuevo vocalista, y aunque el estilo en la voz es definitivamente diferente, su nuevos materiales siguen rifando, ahora solo queda verlos en vivo.
