Niacin, Vitamin B Complex, Zinc
I woke at 7:20am today, and I am still going at 12:23 am right now, after taking two tablets of vitamin B complex, which contains a nice dose of niacinamide (or nicotinamide), and two tablets of Zinc.
As far as I have learnt during my bachelor degree studying biochemistry and nutrition, niacin and zinc can combat fatigues and improves awareness. Combined this supplements with my early workout at the gym, which was the first thing that I did when I jumped out of bed, I definitely could feel the improvement in awareness.
The most surprising thing happened today, which I wanted to highly appreciate myself for pulling this execution off, was that I took a U-turn of my original travel direction to head back to the office, after I have decided to go back home to take a break as I got a headache.
I am happy I went back to office because as Carnegie said, its psychology over biology. The human body can go for a 12-hour working session, not hard labour tasks of course, and functions normally. It is the stress and other mental feelings that shape our fatigues and negative vibe. I literally witnessed this happened in me today. And in the evening, as I had a student at 8pm, I would not have imagined giving such a motivating talk to him, which I hope can clear some of his confusions up as he is moving on to the university stage after graduating this summer.
And what is more is that as I got home, I shared some highlights in my talk to my loved ones. As we have done talking, I quickly went back my room and jotted these thoughts down, which are visualized and materialized on four pieces of papers. Dang.
Is this the power of psychology, or the supplements?
Congrats to the promotion, my friend
During work, I saw that one of my friends, Derek, was promoted to become an executive assistant. Trust me. I had been an executive assistant and I know the time and effort it takes. This promotion is not random. It is a concrete acknowledge of his ability. Knowing this happens, I definitely reminisced the time back when I was working from 5am to 11pm in the startup during the grinding period. This changes my life.
The Challenge of ClickUp
So, today is the second day of me not spending major time on ClickUp clearing tasks and building things on there. I found myself using WeChat to directly explain things to my employees verbally. Maybe Derek’s promotion would make me see the tasks and notifications waiting for me on ClickUp as a piece of cake. But, that’s a thing of tomorrow. Good night.
