It's easy to be a great friend, child, parent, lover, boss. You just have to care about the other person, and caring more makes you better. Everything else follows this simple rule

This revelation hit me about after two things this week. First, I made a post online just wanting to find some friends to play video games with. Over 50 people either commented or sent me a direct message wanting to just hang out. I didn't offer to send pictures of my feet or anything, they reached out of their own free will

The second thing that happened was that an employee wrote me "You know you're the best boss I ever had?" I don't think I'm a great boss, I just leave her to her work and she does a great job. No hand holding, just emotional support and help when she needs it

There are lots of hard things worth doing in life. But I challenge you: care more about those you love. It's an easy way to be a better friend, child, parent, lover, boss
