I asked ChatGPT to tell me about me. It searched the web, found old things, and embarrassed the heck out of me. "I did that?" "How did it know about this?"

Those things were embarrassing now, but not at the time. When I made choices about who to work with and what to work on I thought I was courageous, ambitious, hard working. I was proud of me. Those same decisions now embarrass me, so what changed?

I grew, got wiser, made better choices, saw a better way from Point A to Point B. I look back and think "He had smaller plans than he deserved."

If you're not embarrassed by your past self, then you're probably not growing at all.
