We made a great AI for Earth model. So what?
It really doesn't matter if it just joins the pile of geo AI models, already 20+ or so depending how you count. It doesn't even matter if it can use any dataset, latest architecture learning from others, or even if it has a permissive license, ... even if then we were the only option.
What matters, for any piece of technology, is for it to be *used*, to empower real people with real problems in real contexts. That's Chapter 2 now for Clay. Chapter 1 for Clay was making v1, done. Chapter 2 is all in now to deploy it, to go places, to learn from experience.
ChatGPT did not "win" because it's better, but because it's easy to use. And crucially the more you use it, the more uses you can think of. I think I personally find a new use weekly. (last one was to ramble on voice all my todos in the morning and ask it to prioritize and summarize my daily todo).
What does this mean for Clay? It means that we need our tool to be seen as such. To show people, specially those that don't understand AI (nor want to) how exactly Clay could help them.
PS: Yes, we are working to open the app asap, but it's just not ready yet. Is not easy no make complex be easy.
