I loved The Police so when Sting released his first solo album The Dream of the Blue Turtles in 1985, an obligatory trip to the record shop followed soon after. The song that defined the album is, 37 years later, now sadly more relevant even than it was then. There is almost nothing anyone can say about Putin’s psychopathic attack on Ukraine that hasn’t been said already. And nothing is more apt to say than the lyrics Sting himself wrote all those years ago. …..I hope the Russians love their children too….Here’s a beautiful new pared down rendition:
