I have been looking forward to sharing this for quite some time now. I finally did it - I wrote my first cook book! π¨πΌβπ³ After working on it for about a year, it's now complete and I'm really pleased with the outcome. As with every accomplishment I had too my ups and downs with reviews, edits, ironing out the nitty gritty details and retaking pictures. Reiterating what I oftenthymes (pun intended) say at work 'It always takes more time than initially planned but you have to keep going'.
Nevertheless, the book is out! I printed about fifteen copies of a version which I call 'soft release' and handed them to friends and family to provide their comments and suggestions before printing the 'hard cover' version. As I intend to have in final version, the soft release contains twelve recipes that have inspired me over the last couple years (and sometimes longer) to spend quality time in the kitchen as I experimented with different combinations! I don't wanna spill any beans about the recipes but I wanted to say, as I do in my book's introduction, what this book is all about and why I even cared to write it in the first place.Β

Even though the book contains a rather small selection, these recipes are diverse for their ingredients, complexity and flavour. The basis for this is that I get really curious about the taste profiles of the ingredients and love to play around with them, especially seeing how these get translated into dishes. My aim, therefore, is to inspire you to create your own versions of the recipes and challenge you to experiment with interesting combinations to create something unique in your kitchen.
