I came across an article about how a management consultant was brought in to a company and he only asked for 15 minutes with each executive. During that 15 minutes, he explained his system for productivity. Write out the six most important tasks to be done, rank them and execute the first one until complete or until roadblocked. Move to number two. Rinse and repeat. Simple but effective.
I tried implementing this last week, it wasn't awesome but I'm going to give it another shot as I seem to lose focus during the day quite a few times. Maybe I need more thinking time away from the computer as well.
Tomorrow, I'll take a few more breaks during the day to see if that has any impact on productivity and/or the way I feel at the end of the day.
