Deirdre on the box was hammering out the tunes. It was really loud and I could only really hear her and the fiddle player next to me. Great music though! I also learned what a "pint of Special" is: Smithwicks with a Guiness head. Goes down real easy.
One day I went to check the usual surf spot, but it was blown out. I was on my way home, somewhat defeated, and spied a van on the side of the road. Someone was coming in from a surf so I thought I'd take a look. It was looking pretty fun! There are spots all over the the place like this - you won't find them listed online anywhere. The section of coastline was angled such that the wind was offshore.
