Spotted in town. Not sure what these are, storks maybe? There were a few nests in the area.
With bigger swell hitting yesterday and Amoreira being pretty exposed, I figured that spot would be maxed out so I thought I'd give the more sheltered Arrifana a shot. The session ended up being really fun. The forecasts were kind of all over the place so I wasn't sure what to expect. Surfline was saying 8-12' (lol) while MSW said 4-6'. I'd say it was probably somewhere in the middle, 7-10' maybe. I managed to squeak into a few bombs but also got spin cycled and caught inside a fair amount. Only a handful of people out the back thought there were the usual beginner surf classes in the whitewater. Going to miss this warm(ish) water!
