Made it to Lisbon today! A bit worn down post-flights.

I had a surprisingly pleasant experience with the rental car agency. They didn't even try to upsell me on any nonsense! I've got a small manual Peugeot but surprisingly I can fit my board bag inside, so no having to deal with the portable roof rack. Downside - can't drive it in sandals as that would be courting disaster.

I'm spending one night in the Costa da Caparica area of town, because I didn't want to spend 3+ hours driving down south fresh off the plane. It was a good decision. After eating some dinner by the beach I got a second wind, and managed to get in a surf. Just a somewhat mediocre beachbreak with 50 people out, but it was energizing to get in the water.
