"Stop Asian Hate" - Weekend Edition #2

Hello everyone. Another weekend, some stories to tell, some stuff to share. Today is windy. We plan to visit Cadaques, Salvador Dali house, Girona, Tossa del Mar, and maybe we will be lucky and buy the best olive oil I tasted last year.

The week was intensive but also exciting. We had another newsletter campaign (TLDR) for our ManualTesting.dev project, and as a result, we have new signups and some positive feedback.

In the upcoming week, I plan to start re-watch Beverly Hills 90210. What do you think?

Enjoy.

Just-In-Time - The Next Generation of Tailwind CSS - One of the hardest constraints we've had to deal with as we've improved Tailwind CSS over the years is the generated file size in development. With enough customizations to your config file, the generated CSS can reach 10mb or more, and there's only so much CSS that build tools and even the browser itself will comfortably tolerate.

I'm just having a good time and enjoying the ride.
I'm learning to be more present.
There are a lot of times when people get things,
and they're like, 'Alright, what's next?'.
And it's like, 'No, enjoy yourself, man. Because
this can go any day. Tomorrow, the next day, who
knows?' Just be present. And give yourself a break.

Spaghetti with ricotta, lemon, bacon and spinach (Serves 2)

Ingredients:

1 tbsp olive oil
250g ricotta
35g parmesan
Zest of 1 lemon
100g cubed smoked bacon
200g spaghetti
½ tsp salt
700ml boiling water
2 big handfuls baby spinach (approx 125g)
Crushed black pepper

Equipment: A frying pan or pot, with a lid, that is wide enough to lay the spaghetti flat along the bottom.

Method:

Put pasta in the pan, then add the rest of the ingredients except the spinach and black pepper.
Pour in boiling water and cover with a lid. Bring it to a boil, then remove the lid and stir from time to time. Cook for 8 minutes, until the water evaporates and sauce thickens – the pasta should be al dente by this time. Add the spinach and stir until wilted.
Turn off the heat. Divide it into pasta bowls and serve with plenty of freshly ground black pepper.
