To all who have served and are serving in the Armed Forces of the United States of America — On this Memorial Day, we pause not merely out of tradition, but out of genuine and profound gratitude. We remember the men and women who left their homes, their families, and their ordinary lives to stand between the rest of us and harm — many of whom never returned.

Your sacrifice is not an abstraction. It is real. It lives in the families who set an empty place at the table, in the folded flags presented with trembling hands, in the quiet rows of white markers that stretch further than the eye can follow. Every freedom we exercise, every ordinary day we take for granted, exists because someone before us was willing to pay an extraordinary price.

To those who have served and come home — thank you. The weight you carried, the things you witnessed, the years you gave — they matter deeply, even when the world moves on too quickly to say so.

To those who are serving right now — your dedication and courage are seen and honored. You are not forgotten.
And to those who gave their lives in service to this nation — you are remembered. Today, and every day.
