I was completely underwhelmed by Roam Research, even at a discounted price. The idea of networked notes is not new; I used tools along these lines 15 years ago. Roam has some potential, but I'm frankly, disappointed. Its main marketing point is two-way links. MediaWiki (Wikipedia's underlying software) has had them for twenty years.

For amazing collaborative document sharing and note-taking, I highly recommend Notion. To be clear, I have no incentives, financial or otherwise, to recommend Notion.)
