For over 100 years my family has had a farm.
I've never stepped foot on it, but I've been thinking about it.
While we don't actively tend to this farm many have their own little farms—a garden or some involvement with agriculture. But, I don’t. So I thought, how could I contribute to "the family farm"—the gardens?
The obvious would be to start a garden. While I don't have my own land or space for an outdoor garden I could invest in one of the many indoor gardens you can buy online. But, I thought differently. You see, I have this aspiration to design an app. Earlier this year, I was working on my first app—a different take on a journal and check-in system for families. Even though this didn't continue, my hunger is greater.
I got to thinking about a gardening app. Through this I could greatly impact the practice and interest of gardening. Through this I could build a tool to help families.
Through this I could be part of the family farm.
