I know it only happens every 10 years, but one of the things I really hate is having my passport photo taken. Every time, getting it done is different.
In the 'old days' you had to get 4 photos taken by the photo booth and cut them up and send them off with your passport application.
Two weeks later you'd get a letter back saying your mugshot is unacceptable as unbeknownst to you, your left eye is being obscured by a passing wasp.
Take it again and resubmit!
These days they give you a code when you get your photo taken and you apply online for the renewal. You submit it and hey presto! Your photo is sent to the Passport people.
I have to take my glasses off to get my photo taken as I always get a light reflection, or my specs frame obscures something. So I take my glasses off and can't see my image properly!
Here's my hideous effort. I'll let you know how it goes.
