Glass coasters
What's the purpose of a coaster if any accumulated moisture will simply dribble off and onto the surrounding table? There should be a law against production of these, along with glass cutting boards.
Too-thin cork
Cork is a great, absorbent coaster material! Except when it's produced too thin! Let's use our heads people.
