Project One Five

What is Project One Five?

It's basically the idea that you can do awesome stuff in 15 minutes a day, spread over a period of time.

Case study: Pie Calendar.

Myself & Jonathan Jernigan ideated Pie Calendar in January of this year (2023.) By May, we not only had a free version of the plugin accepted into the WordPress repository and ranking for the term "calendar", but we had a Pro version released and making money.

The Pie Calendar project, while still small, is already profitable. And it was built in about 15 minutes per day over the course of roughly 4 months.

The Project One Five (a term I have coined, but probably other people follow this methodology) approach looks like this:

1. Pick a thing you want to do.
2. Promise yourself to spend a minimum of 15 minutes per day on that thing. No exceptions.
3. Follow through on your promise.

It's so simple it's almost scary. And while it seems like you may not get much done in 15 minutes, look back after a week or a month and you'll be amazed at what you've accomplished.

Just like we're amazed at what we could've accomplished with the time that has passed us and looks like a mere blink of the eye, we'll be astounded when we look back at the cumulative effect of a measly 15 minutes per day spent focused on one goal.

If you've never tried something like this, I'd encourage you to give it a shot. 15 minutes is such a small time investment that it can't hurt, and you may be surprised at what you find yourself getting done.
