What kind of people should you work with?
1. Internally focused
2. Self-manager
Let me explain.
If a person knows how to take responsibility for the events in his/her work and life, he/she is internally focused, but if he/she constantly blames external (yes external) forces, he/she is externally focused.
For example, there is a difference in focus between the sentence "The marketing team forgot to share" and the sentence "I should have established a mechanism to ensure that the marketing team shares every week".
I think we understand this. Let's talk about the self-manager.
Unfortunately, doing business with people who constantly give input, remind you of work, and ask you about your own obligations wears you out.
But people who are their own managers don't ask for constant direction from you, they solve the work and the situation.
I think this is the difference between leading someone and managing them.
A leader guides, not manages. Because the person is already their own manager.
That's why we aspire to small teams :) Because we don't want to manage.
Find and embrace the person who is internally focused and self-managing :)
You are difficult life, but remember we like difficult things that can be made easier 🙌
