We finally got our canoe out on the water. Just a short paddle on the Glenmore Reservoir. It took about 1 hour to dig out our gear, load the canoe and drive away from the house. Not bad, guess our stuff is more organized than we thought.
25 minute drive to the water, an hour and a half paddle, then home for supper. What a great afternoon.
Our son is nine and keen to steer the canoe, so we give him as much time captaining as we can. He did great, and we all enjoyed our first day on the water.
