Well here we are, a full year through the pandemic from Covid-19 and we’re still a bunch of idiots that don’t know how to wear masks, don’t believe in science, and think our freedom from masks is more important than the life of another fellow human being. The country is a disaster, we’re spending more money than we have and the wealthiest Americans are robbing the country blind. I’m all for the American Dream but when you have less than 1% of the US Citizens amassing billions of dollars in wealth while the government is spending trillions of dollars bailing out the remaining 99% something is wrong. This is the end of the country as we know it in my opinion as we’re starting to approach the level of personal discord that was reached during the French Revolution. Today’s “Off with her head” is “Eat the Rich” which none of us would actually do but it gets some attention. 

Meanwhile, today was a day that more people became eligible to get the vaccine where I live but there are no appointments to be had. The government’s failure to develop a system that enables you to schedule an appointment to get the vaccine is blatantly obvious and incredibly frustrating. The political class in this country needs to be knocked down, destroyed, and returned to regular citizenry. Politics should not be a career other than to start in a position of local government, work your way up to state government, and then finally up to the federal government. If anywhere along the way you max out a term of 6-12 years then you forfeit the job you’re in and the next level either elects you or you go back to working in the private sector. Also, lobbyists need to be removed. It can no longer be what is best for me but instead has to be what is best for the country regardless of what lobby, friend, industry, etc. is going to suffer from the change. Enough is enough.
