We headed back to Somerset on August 5th to sit with Lara and Alfie for another week. What a pleasure they were. ❤️
We met Henry, the newest addition to the fowl family.🐓
We spent an afternoon in Wells - lovely view of St Cuthbert's. 📸
The Alms Houses from 1400-1500s were still in use as supported housing. ⛪️
We took a trip out to Cheddar (yes, the cheese is from there) to check out Cheddar Gorge. Saw some nice views on the way into the small town. 👀
I took in the 360 views from the tower while Steve did a longer loop. 🥾
It was surprisingly good! 🍦
Such wonderful companions. 🐾
We went back to Wells for the St Cutherbert's stair climb which allowed you to go to the top to ring the bells + take in the views. 🔔
We enjoyed the morning at the very picturesque Kilver Gardens in nearby Shepton Mallet. 💐
We left the dogs and the chickens on August 12th and headed east to catch up with my third cousin (through my grandfather from the Isle of Man). We met only last year but have fun catching each other up on our shared family history. She and her husband lived near this pub so we all walked over to catch up. Forgot to take a photo of us.🤦♀️
It was a very nice week and we looked forward to going back again in 2027. 👋
