The emu markings were pretty cool. Did you know the males incubate the eggs? π«
Their double layer of feathers kept them very comfortable all year. πͺΆ
Lucked out to see the koala (aka tree wombat (aka ground koala)) awake and moving. We learned that koala meant 'no drink' since they don't drink much water and get most hydration from eucalyptus leaves. They were generally solitary and the only non-ape with fingerprints. π¨

The red tree kangaroo was gorgeous. π€©
The Eastern Grey and Desert kangaroos were much larger. Got to see a joey peeking out! πΆπ»
