This is a SHORT focus post about a small art exhibit we saw in Warburton. If that doesn't sound interesting, I would skip it. ๐
Ali Griffin is a multidisciplinary artist based on Wurundjeri Country in Victoria, Australia. With over two decades of experience in advertising and design, she adeptly translates complex briefs into compelling visual narratives.
Aliโs current body of work, The Elderhood Project, is an audacious creative movement calling for a cultural shift in how we see, hear, and value older women. Through monumental portraiture, storytelling, and participatory public events, the project dismantles ageist narratives and reframes post-menopausal women as vibrant, wise and vital โ not โelderly,โ but Elders. At its heart, The Elderhood Project is more than an exhibition; itโs a catalyst for re-imagining respect, visibility, and belonging. It invites audiences to look up, listen deeply, and join a movement reshaping how our society recognises and honours womenโs power at every age.
