We had a busy 6 days in London in late July / early August (without pets) so I am sharing our visit in two parts.
We stayed at a very nicely designed Airbnb in Camden Town just a few minutes walk from the Mornington Crescent tube station (on the Northern Line). Only 66 steps down to the train! 🚊
We took the tube to Soho to see a play at the Apollo Theater on the first evening. We found all the Lime bikes and a panda along the way. 🐼
Strolled the Camden High Street the next day. 👀
Who doesn't want a tattoo with their coffee? ☕️
Got a few kites up in Hyde Park. 🪁
Headed to the National Theater to see Sandra Oh in The Misanthrope and passed these pretty rowhouses along the way. Such a good show! 🎭
By lucky coincidence, Beth was in London and was able to join us for dinner and the show. 😊
It was a gorgeous evening so had a nice walk along the Thames. 📸
The mighty South Bank Lion was cast in 1837 and was still looking good. 🦁
We walked back to Waterloo Station catch the tube home. 🚊
We stayed around the corner from this live music landmark where the line was very long to get in on the weekends. We didn't make it to a show though. 🎶 🎼
The next morning, we took the Elizabeth line to Shoreditch. It was much newer and had AC which was welcome. 🙏
We walked to the meeting place for a street art tour and saw some sights along the way. 👀
It was a 3 hour long tour which made me realize that under 3 hours works best for me. However, we learned and saw so many interesting things that I would recommend one when in London.
Banksy and D*FACE at the high end Art Hotel were an interesting contrast. 🤔
We ran across the Llama Inn on a side street after the tour. Delicious Peruvian food on a rooftop. Grabbed a interior photo from their website since I forgot to take one. 📸
We attended the video and music show called Luminescence at the Westminster Cathedral. Impressive laser show which transformed the domes! 🤩
