Oregon: Bandon to Brookings to Grants Pass to Shady Cove

Hey everybody πŸ‘‹

Steve and I watched The AI Doc on Netflix last night and I found it depressing and hopeful at the same time (starts out dark but gets better so keep watching). I think the current AI tools were released too widely and require regulation but the people in power don’t know how to regulate them - which is a problem. However, I think there is goodness to them as a well. Like the PSAs say:

Back to our travels ....

We made it to Bandon Oregon on October 14th just as the sun was setting. 😎

We were eager to drive along the Samuel H. Boardman State Scenic Corridor and it did not disappoint. 🀩

Craggy bluffs, secluded beaches, and offshore rock formations await visitors along the 12 ocean-hugging miles between Brookings and Gold Beach along Highway 101.

The botanic garden at Shore Acres State Park was pretty quiet and beautiful. 🍁

By the way, if you get to Brookings, go to Mattie's and sit at the counter. You are welcome. πŸ₯ž

We took a dip into California to visit the Jedediah Smith Redwood State Park. More glorious trees!πŸͺΎ

We left the coast and headed inland to Grant's Pass for a night. πŸš™

And so our 11 day PNW roadtrip came to an end. It was lovely and we recommend putting it on your list. βœ…

We arrived in Shady Cove on 10/17 to meet Kayla who we were going to watch her for 2.5 weeks while her owners took a cruise through the Panama Canal and beyond. 🐾
