We had a rainy day so decided to go to the movies. It was early on a Saturday so chose The Magic Faraway Tree just for fun. It was entertaining and watching it with a theater full of young children really made it special. Their laughter added to the whole experience so I highly recommend seeing it in a similar manner if you can. 🍿
Back to outdoor activities after the rain .... we explored 3 gardens in one day to see the last of the fall colors. 🍁
The size of the gum / eucalyptus trees was truly staggering. 😮
The pet sit owners had a holiday home and since we were staying for almost 4 weeks, they offered it to us. We put Che in the car and took a drive to stay for a few days. 🚙
Che was right at home as soon as we arrived. 🐾
Funny sign for a shared family holiday home. 🤭
The views were lovely looking toward the Howqua Hills. 👀
However, Lake Eildon across the street was an agricultural lake and the recent droughts meant that much of it was used for crops instead of recreation. It was at 40% normal water level. The red line shows the normal water level. 😳
Apple Maps aerial view showed the house across from the boat ramp which wasn't usable. 🚤
However, we did enjoy the Australian King Parrots and Australian Magpie who came to visit. 😀
We took a walk around the nearby tiny town of Jamieson. 🗺️
We made it back to the Seville area and took a walk along the Yarra River in Warburton. 🥾
We drove over to the TarraWarra Museum of Art which was a gift from Eva and Mark Besen who were collectors of Australian art since the 1950s.

One more garden tour to see the late season colors. 🍂
These birch trees reminded me of aspens and I got a bit homesick.
