Trump's Press Releases Trump Trump's Tweets

It's been relatively quiet since former president Trump's Twitter account was suspended, cutting off his endless stream of falsehoods and attacks.

When Twitter made the move, the former president and many of his supporters condemned the decision, calling it an infringement of the free speech guaranteed by the Constitution. That's not true, of course, because the First Amendment only bars the U.S. government from "abridging the freedom of speech," not a private company.

Twitter was the former president's primary means of communication, bypassing a news media he claimed was biased and reported "fake news." During his presidency, Trump tweeted more than 25,000 times, according to Wikipedia.

So what the former president told Sean Hannity in a recent interview on Fox is a bit hypocritical:

"I'm really getting a big word out because we're doing releases. And every time I do a release it's all over the place. It's better than Twitter, much more elegant than Twitter. And Twitter now is very boring, a lot of people are leaving Twitter. Twitter's become very, very boring." [1]

That's classic Trump-speak. I prefer the quiet.
