Every downturn is unique

CNBC: Mad Money - March 3, 2025 (Paywall)

Cramer makes an excellent learning point. All bull markets are like each other. Hence, everyone is a genius in a bull market. But every downturn is different. One may last a few days, the other for 6 years. And the economy does not have to be doing poorly, which will help you decide if this next one will last too long. Hence, you must have a small stash on the sidelines to sleep well at night. His stock predictions are no better than the others, but his talking points in the proper context are enlightening. Even if you do not watch his show regularly, the opening monologue of this episode is worth a watch.
