AI is a fantastic tool for innovation, but in the wrong hands, it can be used to deceive at scale.
I saw this today in a LinkedIn post, in which the author was reacting to a video, called Don't buy stuff from old AI people, explaining how AI had been used to create a scam store front and ad campaign. Chances are you have seen one of these types of ads in your Facebook (or other) feed. I know I have. And that you've heard a variation of the "in the wrong hands" warning.
From the author's perspective, and mine, and quite likely yours, the ability to "deceive at scale" is a bad thing. From the perspective of active, or perhaps potential, scammers, on the other hand, they might rephrase the statement as
AI is a fantastic tool for innovation, and in the right hands, it can be used to deceive at scale.
It's all a matter of perspective.

Today was the first session of Majid Iqbal's course Analogy, Abstraction, and Reasoning, and it did not disappoint. I've had the pleasure of many a conversation on the topic over the past few years with Majid, and yet I still learn something new when he puts together his thoughts like he has in this course. Not to mention the broad diversity of my fellow students and their different experiences and perspectives.

The perfect date?
I'd have to say April 25th, because it's not too hot, not too cold. All you need is a light jacket
