The obligatory, stereotypical, somewhat cliche first post when publishing on a new platform or writing some code in a new language. Somewhat modified, of course, to fit with this particular platform, HEY World.
I have no specific plan for writing here, beyond writing and sharing thoughts I have that I think are worth sharing. I do expect it will keep with the spirit my original blog title, No Straight Lines (the archive and remnants of which you can find at https://gbrettmiller.wordpress.com).
At this point, I also have no plan for frequency of posts, length of posts, or anything else. They may come one a day, many a day, or one every couple of days (or any combination of). Some may be really short, some may be really long, some may be in between.
Actually, I think I may stick to just one a day, because I'm terrible at writing concise subject lines and just using the date as subject would make that easier. Plus, that gives me an incentive to a) write consistently and 2) focus at least a little bit. In fact, I may use my friend Sophie Binder as a bit of a model here, with a written "sketch of the day" instead of the actual sketch she does and shares every day.
Some may be quick thoughts, observations from daily life. Some may be more details explorations of a topic I've been thinking about or spending time with. And some may be revisits of things I've written or explored in the past. And some may be well thought out, tightly edited collections of words while others - like this one - are essentially stream of consciousness (or perhaps a train of thought).
