I have never read a book by Murakami before. I don’t like fiction, but something about this title made me pick up this book.
I like to run, but haven’t in a while. I love the Japanese culture, but haven’t been there. I feel deeply inspired by the Samurai spirit, but I have never held a sword in my hands the way a warrior would.
But I have the desire to get better and improve myself.
Murakami shares many bricks of wisdom in this book, one that sticks with me to do what “suits you”.
I like that, I think we all should take the time in our life to find, search and dig deep to uncover what is it that truly suits us.
Steve Jobs called it “following your passion”, I find that a bit too fluffy and daunting. What if I don’t know my passion, but following what suits you and exploring that sounds possible.
Read the book.
