Update on Portrush Waterworld Complex: Disposal Plans and Security Measures

During last night's Leisure and Development Committee meeting, Alderman Richard Stewart sought an update on consideration options for the Waterworld Complex in Portrush and queried additional security measures to deter trespassers.

Responding to Alderman Stewart's query, Pat Mulvenna, Director of Leisure and Development, shared that the Waterworld facility has been designated an asset for disposal. She also underlined the active role of the Land and Property Committee, which is currently overseeing the process.

The director further updated members, saying that the capital works team is developing an options paper to enhance the building's security until its eventual disposal.
