It turned out to find my passions; I had to start by doing absolutely nothing. Create space and watch what I think about. What do you do when you have nothing to do? What can you quit doing if you always have something to do to give yourself some free time?
Some people are lucky, discovering their passions and interests and, ultimately, their life purpose early on in life, while others struggle to find ours.
Too often, we find ourselves with a packed calendar, working all hours and generally filling our time with things that are not important. I was making money and consuming a few years ago. Instead, we are addicted to consuming... sugar, coffee, alcohol, social media and other rubbish that help us escape this reality.
Once I started working on my first side project, I shifted focus to creating rather than consuming. All I had to do was watch how I used my free time when I wasn't trying to escape my reality by consuming and bingo, and there were my passions. I suddenly discovered even more interests i didn't know I had.
I spent this weekend learning about Cardano, a cryptocurrency focusing on making the world a fairer place and, writing and drawing with my daughter sage. So it's obvious now I love to learn about crypto, and I love to draw and write.
Let me know if you find some free time and some new interests.
