As institutional leaders we manage chaos and maintain order. That’s how we ensure incremental, healthy, steady single-digit, sometimes double-digit, compound annual growth rates. 

But that focus on maintaining order can quench creativity and lead to plateaued and decaying growth.

As entrepreneurial leaders, we release the brimming energies within ourselves and our colleagues. That’s how we get exponential growth.

But exponential growth can unleash chaos and destroy companies. Things that grow fast often die fast.
