god's love

men want what they cannot have
women want what they can be sure of
you think you're using sex
sex uses us all

we can't be sure of ourselves
but we can be sure of others
we can't have others but
they can have us

So: men get what they've been seeking
and don't want it anymore
women hold close consensus and, like all things,
it dies to change

all this had me wondering
could i trade one for another?
pawn the frothy hail and brimstone,
for an antiseptic surrogate like an appendectomy,
and would the coverage let me walk away
with more than a mere lolly?

would god’s love thrill to turn me upside down and shake me out?
whence His Feelings of which our feelings are but a part?
can they change?
how can feelings not?

Does god love us madly
drunk from the torso and thighs?

or does he weigh us calmly
in omnipotent repose?

I Leared: if there were a word for divine love, it would have been said.
if there were truth to divine love, it must remain unspoken.
if there were end to divine love, must it be human?
if we knew divine love, whither faith?
bleed the lamb and be sure of Him
let wither self and his Word emerges
So It Is Said:

and so on.
