Things don't have to be extraordinary to be inspiring. I recently got a jar and filled it up with rocks from the ocean, sea glass, and pebbles. I keep it on a shelf in my office. Once in a while, I pick it up and look at it. I rotate it in my hands and look at the different contrasts of the materials. It’s soothing and meditative. It also helps me break through walls at times. There isn't anything special about the pieces or even the sum of the parts. It’s a reminder for me to appreciate the ordinary things in life.
