Hunt Analyser now records the arrows and bolts you shoot. Pick them into your set, and your hunt's Stats show a full Attack Value and your maximum Hit Chance.
A Paladin's damage comes from three things at once: the bow or crossbow, the quiver, and the ammunition inside it. Hunt Analyser could record the first two. The arrows had nowhere to go.
That gap showed in the numbers. With no ammunition, a Paladin's Attack Value could only say "The weapon's attack is not calculated.", and Hit Chance showed only your perks. Melee weapons got a total. Bows got a note.
Now the arrows have a slot. Pick the ones you hunt with, and your Stats count them, line by line. It is on every plan, Free included.
Watch it in under two minutes
A hunt tracked before the update, its arrows picked in the new slot, and the Stats they add, start to finish:
What's New?
An Ammunition slot, right above your quiver
- Wear a quiver in the right hand and an Ammunition slot appears above it, as in the game. 19 arrows and 8 bolts, each with its sprite. The set's card counts your equipment only; the hunt adds your level and skills.
- With a bow, the picker offers only arrows and says so: "Hive Bow: only arrows". With a crossbow, only bolts. With neither, every ammunition, grouped.
- Each row shows what you need to choose: level, attack, hit chance and, for the arrows that hit an area, its size ("Burst Arrow (Lvl: 0, Atk: 27, Hit%: 100, Area: 9 sqm)").
- It tidies up after you. Take the quiver off and the arrows go with it. Switch from a bow to a crossbow and the arrows are cleared, since a crossbow cannot shoot them. The same holds in your Character Sets, on the hunt form and in Templates.
A Paladin Attack Value, finally calculated
- A bow or crossbow with a quiver and matching ammunition now has a full Attack Value in the hunt's Stats, every part on its own line: the ammunition's attack, your weapon's attack modifier, the Flat Bonus, Distance Fighting and Offensive Tactics. Here, a level 400 Royal Paladin with Hive Bow and Onyx Arrows: 309.
- Elemental arrows count their elemental attack too, and say how it splits: an Earth Arrow reads "Elemental part: 14 Earth of 28".
- Your weapon's "+N Attack" perks and its Weapon Proficiency perks that add a share of your skill as extra damage for auto-attacks are added as well.
- With a pair, Hit Chance is the maximum you reach with enough skill: the ammunition's own maximum, plus your weapon's hit modifier, plus your "+N% Hit Chance" perks. Onyx Arrow 92% + Hive Bow 5% + its perk 1% = 98%.
- It never goes above 100%. A Diamond Arrow with the same bow reads 100%, and the card tells you the sum it cut: "Capped at 100% (the sum is 106%)."
- A bow with nothing in the quiver shows its hit modifier as a bonus, with "No ammunition: bonus only."
- Diamond Arrow hits 21 sqm, the five storm arrows (Firestorm, Froststorm, Shatterstorm, Terrastorm and Thunderstorm) 13 sqm, and Burst Arrow 9 sqm. The Attack Value shows it under the total, and the Diamond Arrow adds that its damage is always Physical. No number changes: it is there so you know what you are shooting.
- A bow you recorded in a past hunt now shows its hit modifier in Hit Chance.
- Those hunts could not hold arrows before today. Open one, add the arrows you used in your set on the hunt form, save, and its Attack Value fills in.
Also in this release
- Melee weapons with an elemental attack count it. Fire Sword's 24 physical and 11 Fire now count as one attack of 35 inside its Attack Value, shown as "Elemental part: 11 Fire of 35". The Amber weapons, whose whole attack is elemental, now show an Attack Value instead of "not calculated". Past hunts included.
- Melee Weapon Proficiency perks that add a share of a skill as extra damage for auto-attacks now count in the Attack Value, with the skill each perk names (Magic Level on a Magic Longsword). Past hunts included.
- Damage type and element, told apart. A fist weapon whose type is Physical reads "Damage type: Physical" instead of calling Physical an element, and every element or damage type shows its icon.
- The Broken Iks Spear is an axe, as in the game: it is listed with the axes, offers its five proficiency levels, and hunts that used it show an Attack Value and a Defence Value.
- Four distance weapons now match the wiki: Crypt Spine now has +5% hit chance, Refined Bow +1%, Rift Crossbow +3%, and Inferniarch Arbalest an attack of +7, in recorded hunts too.
- Perfect Shot bonuses name the distance: "With the Target at Exactly 4 sqm", in every language.
What this does not do
- Hit Chance is the ceiling, not the chance on every shot. In the game it also depends on your Distance Fighting and on how far the target is, which the app does not model.
- A quiver goes in the right hand only. The game also takes one in the extra slot; Hunt Analyser does not.
Where to Use It
- Characters → your character → Sets → New or Edit: the Ammunition slot above your quiver.
- Hunt Sessions → New or Edit → your character's set: the same slot, for the hunt you are logging.
- Hunt Templates → New or Edit: the same slot, saved with the template.
- Hunt Sessions → any hunt → Stats: Attack Value and Hit Chance in Combat Stats.
Why This Matters
A Paladin's build is the bow, the quiver and what is inside it. Switching from Onyx to Crystalline Arrows, or to Diamond for a big pull, is one of the choices you make most often, and it costs gold on every hunt. Until today it was the one choice Hunt Analyser could not see.
Hunt Analyser exists to answer one question after every hunt: did this setup pay off? Two hunts on different arrows looked identical here, so the comparison could never tell you whether the more expensive ammunition was worth it.
Now it can. The arrows you shoot sit in your set, follow it into every hunt you log, and show up in your Stats with their attack and their hit chance. Pick them, hunt, and let the numbers say whether they were worth it.
If a number here does not match your client, tell me which bow, which arrow and which number. Those reports are worth more than they sound.
Happy hunting!
