AI in publishing meetup

If you are in London next week, you are interested in AI and it's effects in publishing, and in particular in scholarly publishing, then you should try to get along to this event - AI in Publishing  https://www.meetup.com/meetup-group-mdhxintw/events/307368198, happening on the 14th on Wed from 6pm at fora folgate street (just across the road from Liverpool Street Station.

From the website:

Richard Bennett (Hum) and Nick Morley (Grounded AI) will be demoing new tools Alchemist Review and Veracity. These take the sting out of the busywork in academic publishing by automating analysis of methods and citations.

Ivy Cavendish of Springer Nature will be telling the story of how helping her partner write his PhD led to the invention of the tool Toowrite, its sale to Springer Nature and to starting a new division of the Springer business.

Mark Riley and Ed Daniels (Mathison AI) will be reviewing how publishers including News Corp are adopting AI and demoing HANA News a new tool that automates the creation of email newsletters.

I was originally meant to be in India this coming week, but have postponed my travel, and so will be able to attend.
