Dec 2024 Interesting Links

Sharing interesting links with commentary is a low effort, high value way to contribute to internet life at large.

I get a lot of value out of flowing interesting links that people post, and this post by Simon inspired me to create a custom apple shortcut to try to add a bit more context when I find interesting things to link to. For years I’d been hoping to do this via pinboard, but I’m going to go with a dumber, but maybe more usable at least for me, solution for 2025. I’ve built this iOS shortcut to help with this process - https://www.icloud.com/shortcuts/c933db53bf2948ea9857be2ebfdade54

We always underestimate the level of effort any change will take to any moderately complex system.

Develop with these - or other platforms - and your browser auto-completed your request, making it a request to localhost8000.com instead :)

How cool is it that someone made this page.
