Health sciences researchers: Reuse Dryad data and win up to $100k from the 2024 Dataworks! Prize
The DataWorks! Prize, sponsored by the Federation of American Societies for Experimental Biology (FASEB) and the National Institutes of Health (NIH), recognizes the impactful role of data reuse on human health.
Successful submissions must:
- Address a pivotal health research question via data reuse and secondary data analysis
- Include data from at least one Generalist Repository Ecosystem Initiative (GREI)organizations, including Dryad
- Share results with the broader community
The NIH Office of Data Science Strategy will award up to $500,000 total in cash prizes to the Challenge winners, including $100,000 for the grand prize winner.
What can you do with Dryad data?
Dryad's curation process helps make our published data findable and ready for reuse. You'll find datasets suitable for meta-analysis, machine learning, and more.
- Use our clinical trial data for prediction modeling and personalized medicine. Try searching for clinical trials.
- Use our medical imaging datasets such as MRI, CT, and histopathology images to develop image classification, segmentation, and diagnosis models. Try searching for MRI.
- Analyze our epidemiological data to uncover trends and patterns in public health or dig into the effects of environmental factors on health outcomes. Try searching epidemiology.
Best of luck! We look forward to seeing how you use Dryad data to advance health research.
