I have a choice to make. It's the kind of choice that changes my entire day and how I will spend my time. It's a choice where both options would be great. Those are tough. But they're amazing. To be in that spot is a huge blessing, not only because you have more on the table than just surviving, but because they're the places where you have to lean not on your own understanding.
Somewhat regularly, I'll find myself in a spot where things feel unclear. Many tasks and possibilities are floating in my head, but I get in a state of paralysis. That almost always means I'm leaning on my own understanding. When I reach that spot, and recognize it, I feel a need to spend some time pacing around my apartment praying out loud. God never fails to bring clarity to me in the next step to take. And usually, it's something I've been neglecting or knew I should have done all along.
Come on, Jacob! You just needed to get out of the way.
