Part of the reason I have been writing for the past few weeks is to practice the process of taking my thoughts and ordering them in a way that is understandable. Beyond thinking clearly, I want to communicate clearly. Not only do I want to be clear, I want to be efficient. When I write, I could take as much time as I want - it's still great practice - but I want to be able to take any thoughts and quickly and effectively communicate them.
This morning, I had a hard time coming up with what to write. That hadn't been a struggle over the recent weeks. A friend joined me at the coffee shop where I write this momentarily and asked me a few introspective questions. And voilĂ , a spark of inspiration! The whole reason I write this is to improve, so why not put in writing why I write? I limit myself arbitrarily to the time I spend at the coffee shop before I head to my office job, down the road. There are no rules except for the ones I place on myself.
