For roughly 10 months, I've had a routine of visiting a local coffeehouse before heading to my day job's office. It started as weekly meetings with a friend on Tuesday mornings. A few months in, my friend's schedule shifted and we could no longer meet, but I continued to go to the coffeehouse each week. Now, I usually go twice a week, and sometimes thrice! I thoroughly enjoy the coffee, but that's not the main reason I go.
This coffeehouse has become a place of rejuvenation for me. If you're familiar with the Resident Evil video game series, I liken it to the "safe rooms" throughout the game. In recent titles, the soundtracks for those rooms are called "Respite."

res·pite | ˈrespət |
noun
a short period of rest or relief from something difficult or unpleasant
The word has a more drastic meaning than my situation, but if you scale it down and apply it to the day-to-day, it makes the coffeehouse routine a bit more cozy. Building a time of rejuvenation and respite into my schedule has been tremendously valuable.
