Summary
Parliament is prorogued which means that the legislative timetable is suspended and bills are mostly not carried over to prevent one parliament binding a successor.
Which means its a quiet time for new EHS laws!

The Infrastructure (Wales) Act 2024 was passed by the Senedd in April and received Royal Assent on 3 June 2024. The Act reforms how infrastructure is consented in Wales and follows on from a consultation that happened in 2018.
In Scotland the Housing (Cladding Remediation) (Scotland) Act 2024 received Royal Assent on 21 June 2024. The new Act establishes a Cladding Assurance Register and confers powers on Scottish ministers to identify and address risks arising from wall cladding systems on residential buildings.
Secondary legislation covered fisheries, energy, food, drugs & medicine and other topics. Notably licensing of glue traps passes from the minister to Natural England under the Glue Traps (Licensing) Regulations 2024 702.

... into July
June resulted in a refactor of the data model underpinning the database of 'application' rules. The data tables were also separated into a new Airtable Base. All of which created a delay to where we are today compared to where we thought we might be. However, the resources are better for having completed this change and we cannot wait to share this new resource with you when ready.
The work also triggered a recognition that we could restructure the underlying code. When time allows we intend to separate the legislation parser as a stand-alone open-source library on Hex. We've not built a library before and so there's lots of learning ahead.
Jason returns to a full-time employed role later this month. Spongl continues as his side-project. In his new job he hopes to be working with Elixir's AI toolset and perhaps even Airtable and its AI offer. And trying his very best to show Excel the exit.
