I'm part of the problem

Ouch. But accurate. I've found myself in a rut, writing the type of stuff I don't want to write. Outrage pieces and complaining are popular and a given to attract eyeballs. It makes people feel like they're not alone, but they're also an echo chamber that doesn't make someone feel better and here I am contributing to something that I myself find really, really unhealthy.

Robert Rackley writes in "The Fifth Point of the Compass":

I have to approach a topic like macroeconomics with a huge dose of humility. It’s not my area of expertise and never will be. While I can point out the (many) moral failings of the current U.S. heads of state with some sense of clarity, I’m not as willing to call out even plainly risky policies regarding global trade.

I think he hit the nail squarely on the head. Too many of us talk and share opinions like we are experts in everything. I am an expert in very little yet feel the need to share opinions on things I shouldn't even be discussing. (what would Reddit or various forums be without people yelling at each other about topics they know little about 😂). Ultimately that type of post turns into complaining or outrage. I really need to check myself, scream into my journal, and post about things I enjoy or at least have a level of understanding about.

Ouch is right.
