Your company’s employees don’t follow your process. The solution is not more “training”. It’s to make things easy...
Take an example. Requesting time off. This process exists inside every company but HOW it’s done in what systems and what follow-up tasks are totally different.
Do I just email my boss? In gmail or Outlook? Or do I request time off in my HCM / Timecard platform? Is that Workday, UKG, or one of 50 other platforms?
Then what? Do I need to delegate my work items in a different system to be handled by someone else while I’m gone??
Or should I also mark an out of office inside Salesforce? (I’ll bet you didn’t even know it had that function).
Now, if the work is not delegated and the OOO is not set, Bob’s stuff gets hung up.
Bruh. C’mon, Bob.
This work often falls on an SME / System Admin to intervene, reassign work, etc.
That’s an expensive person to handle a recurring problem. (Plus, they probably don’t want to deal with that annoyance for the rest of their career.)
Once you get 500 or 1000 or more employees, this is just a constant nag.
Workday brought in 9 Billion $ in the last fiscal year. But what other systems need to be updated? That’s on you.
Salesforce brought in 40 Billion $ in the last year. Do they know if / when your company should use the “Out of Office” function? Uhh, sounds like a customer-specific training issue.
None of these SaaS vendors KNOW YOUR CONTEXT. They can’t.
So what should we do about this? I know, someone say AI! Let’s give everyone OpenClaw with read/write/delete access to their web browser, personal email and calendars! What could possibly go wrong?
Fortunately, there’s a better answer that won’t corrupt your intranet.
With WalkMe we put a button in the HR system at the end of the vacation request process. Call it “Delegate Assignments” or “Automate Follow-up”, something meaningful at your company that will make sense to your employees. And connect that to an automated flow that takes them to the proper system.
It nudges the employee at the right moment. It’s opt-in. We make the process visible and easy to follow. It’s automated. It doesn’t cost per click or require tokens.
