I have perennially cold feet. Even when I put on socks, my toes are still icicles in the winter. Did you know that rechargeable heated socks exist?! I am not going to provide the name of these (because it's about 20 words long on Amazon), but here's the link. They have five different temperature settings and warm your feet all over, not just in one spot. (And no, the pictured flames are not, and should not be, included.)
One of my favorite treats is a black and white cookie. I've also previously stated that if Oreo cream came in a jar, I would probably buy that, too. Now, it's time to meet the perfect marriage of the two, the Black & White Cookie Oreo. They are allegedly limited edition so enjoy them while you can! Tired of your coffee leaking everywhere? The Fellow 16 oz Carter Wide Travel Mug has solved all of my husband's coffee commuting woes. This double-wall vacuum-insulated stainless steel tumbler has a leak-proof seal and a twist-locking lid, hopefully preventing any accidental spills. It fits nicely in your car's cupholder but can also be transported sideways without leaking.
Need an impressive looking (and flavorful) dish to serve friends or family? Check out Tasty's ratatouille recipe. The photo below is actually from when I cooked it (before it went in the oven). The recipe is simple enough if you own a mandolin and it looks beautiful on the table.
Years ago, I belonged to an amazing book club. I should also admit that I may have brought on the demise of said book club by accidentally choosing the most depressing book that most anyone has ever read. I promise, I'm not recommending that book here. This book, however, was a group favorite and it's definitely one of the best stories I've ever read. "The Devil in the White City: Murder, Magic, and Madness at the Fair That Changed America" by Erik Larson combines one of my favorite eras (the Gilded Age) with a fanciful true crime serial killer tale and all of the elements of the Chicago World's Fair. It's a compelling story paired with wondrous storytelling.
That is everything I have for you this week. If you enjoy my recommendations, please sign up to receive them by email or share with a friend. Hope you have a great week ahead.
