I was excited to pick up the new Charles Lloyd & the Marvels album yesterday from Grimeys. It was recorded by Joe Harley, famous for the Tone Poet series on Blue Note and sounds fantastic. I can't get enough of Bill Frisell lately, who has been on several of these sessions with Charles Lloyd. He's also on the latest record by Ron Miles and just put out his own record, Valentine. It's been quite embarrassment of jazz vinyl riches during this crazy pandemic.
